- Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C) and grease a 9x13-inch pan.
- Peel and dice apples. Toss with cinnamon, brown sugar, and flour. Let sit 5 minutes.
- Cream butter and sugar. Beat in eggs, then add milk and vanilla. Fold in flour, baking powder, salt.
- Layer half the batter into pan, add apples, top with remaining batter. Make topping and sprinkle over.
- Bake for 35–40 minutes until done. Cool 15 minutes before serving.
