Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder for a rich deep chocolate flavor
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour for structure
  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar adds sweetness
  • Pinch of salt balances sweetness and enhances flavor
  • 3 tablespoons milk adds moisture
  • tablespoons vegetable oil creates a moist texture
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract for flavor
  • 2 tablespoons chocolate chips adds melty texture
  • Ice cream optional for serving

Method

  1. Combine the cocoa powder, flour, sugar, and salt in a microwave-safe mug. Stir with a fork until fully combined.
  2. Add the milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Stir until almost combined.
  3. Add the chocolate chips and stir until the batter is smooth.
  4. Sprinkle a few more chocolate chips on top if desired.
  5. Place the mug in the microwave and cook on high for 1 minute. The brownie should rise and remain slightly moist on top. If needed, cook in 10-second intervals until done.
  6. Let the brownie cool for a few minutes before serving with a scoop of ice cream, if desired.
