Ingredients
  

  • 1 box Yellow cake mix - Dry, not prepared
  • 1 can Apple pie filling - (approx. 21 oz)
  • ½ cup Unsalted butter - Thinly sliced, room temperature
  • Optional toppings - Caramel sauce, cinnamon, pecans, etc.

  • 9x13 inch baking dish (Greased)
  • Can opener (For pie filling)
  • Sharp knife (For slicing butter)

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. Dump apple pie filling into the prepared dish and spread evenly.
  3. Sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix evenly over the top of the filling. Do not stir.
  4. Place thin slices of butter evenly across the top of the cake mix.
  5. Bake for 40–45 minutes, until the top is golden brown and the edges are bubbly.
  6. Remove from oven and let cool for at least 10 minutes before serving.
