Ingredients

  • 1 box white cake mix 15.25 oz
  • 3 large eggs
  • cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 box strawberry Jello 3 oz
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • ½ cup cold water
  • 8 oz whipped topping
  • Fresh strawberries for garnish

Instructions

Prepare Cake

  • Preheat oven to 350°F
  • Mix cake according to box instructions
  • Bake in 9x13" pan for 25-30 minutes

Add Jello

  • Let cake cool 15 minutes
  • Poke holes with fork every ½ inch
  • Dissolve Jello in boiling water
  • Add cold water to Jello mixture
  • Pour over cake slowly

Finish

  • Refrigerate 4 hours
  • Top with whipped topping
  • Garnish with strawberries

Notes

  • Store covered in refrigerator up to 5 days
  • Can use any Jello flavor
  • Ensure cake is slightly warm when adding Jello
