- Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C). Line a 9x13-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving overhang on the sides for easy removal.
- Whisk melted butter and sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, then stir in cooled brewed coffee, vanilla, and instant coffee powder. In a separate bowl, whisk flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Fold dry ingredients into wet mixture until just combined.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Bake for 28–32 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with moist crumbs. Do not overbake. Let cool completely in the pan on a wire rack.
- Beat softened butter until fluffy. Gradually add powdered sugar, then mix in brewed coffee, vanilla, instant coffee powder, and salt. Beat until light and creamy.
- Spread frosting evenly over cooled brownies. Add chocolate shavings or espresso beans if desired. Slice into squares and serve.
