- Melt butter and chocolate together, then whisk in sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Fold in flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder until just combined. Spread evenly in the prepared pan.
- Beat cream cheese with sugar until smooth. Add egg and vanilla, mixing until combined. Divide mixture into three bowls and color one orange, one black, and leave one white.
- Drop spoonfuls of colored cream cheese randomly over brownie batter. Use a butter knife to drag through the dollops in figure-eight motions to create a marble swirl.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30–35 minutes, until edges are set and the center has a slight jiggle.
- Cool completely in the pan for at least 2 hours or refrigerate overnight for cleaner cuts.
- Cut into squares with a clean, sharp knife, wiping between cuts for neat swirls.
