  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 medium yellow onion - diced
  • 2 cloves garlic - minced
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 cup mixed vegetables - frozen or fresh

  • 1 cup shredded cheese blend - optional

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C)
  • Chop onion and garlic; measure out all other ingredients.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, add a tablespoon of butter (optional) and brown the ground beef.
  • When beef is halfway cooked, add diced onion; cook until softened.
  • Stir in minced garlic; cook 1 minute. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  • Add tomato paste and Worcestershire sauce; stir to coat the meat.
  • Pour in beef broth; simmer until thickened, about 5 minutes.
