Ingredients
Method
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and prepare a baking sheet by covering it with parchment paper.
- Beat the softened butter with both sugars using a mixer on medium speed until the mixture becomes creamy, about 2 minutes.
- Mix in the egg and vanilla extract until fully combined, then scrape the sides of the bowl to ensure even mixing.
- Add the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt, mixing until the dry ingredients are mostly incorporated.
- Fold in the milk chocolate chips until they are evenly spread throughout the cookie dough.
- Scoop the dough into portions about 2 tablespoons each and place them on the prepared baking sheet with at least 2 inches of space between cookies.
- Bake the cookies for 10–12 minutes until the edges are lightly golden and the centers are still soft.
- If needed, gently shape the warm cookies into neat circles using a large round cutter without cutting through the cookies.
- Allow the cookies to rest on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then move them to a wire rack to cool completely.
