  • 1 box 15.25 oz Chocolate cake mix - No ingredients added from box
  • 1 package 14.3 oz Oreo cookies - Crushed for the base and topping
  • ½ cup Unsalted butter - Melted
  • 1 cup Hot water - Hot for pouring over cake mix
  • ½ cup Chocolate chips - Optional, for extra chocolate pockets
Optional Enhancements:
  • ½ cup Mini marshmallows - For extra texture
  • ¼ cup Heavy cream - Drizzle on top
  • 1 Vanilla ice cream - For serving
  • 1 Extra Oreos - For garnish

Equipment

Method
 

  1. Spray the pan with cooking spray and crush most of the Oreos into coarse crumbs.
  2. Pour the entire cake mix evenly into the pan without mixing any of the dry ingredients.
  3. Spread the crushed Oreos over the cake mix and add chocolate chips (if using).
  4. Pour hot water over the layers and drizzle melted butter on top in a zigzag pattern.
  5. Bake at 350°F until the top is golden and crispy, then let it cool for 15 minutes before serving.
