Ingredients
  

Brownie Base
  • 1 cup unsalted butter 226g
  • 2 cups granulated sugar 400g
  • 4 large eggs room temperature
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder 100g
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour 125g
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon baking powder
Peanut Butter Swirl
  • 1 cup smooth peanut butter 250g
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter melted (57g)
  • ½ cup powdered sugar 60g
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Equipment

  • 9x13-inch baking pan
  • Parchment paper
  • Large mixing bowls
  • Whisk
  • Rubber spatula
  • Microwave-safe bowl or double boiler
  • Measuring cups and spoons

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line 9x13 pan with parchment paper.
For brownie batter:
  1. Melt butter
  2. Whisk in sugar
  3. Beat in eggs one at a time
  4. Add vanilla
  5. Mix dry ingredients separately
  6. Fold dry into wet ingredients
For peanut butter swirl:
  1. Mix peanut butter with melted butter
  2. Stir in powdered sugar and vanilla
  3. Microwave 20-30 seconds if too thick
Assembly:
  1. Pour brownie batter in pan
  2. Drop spoonfuls of peanut butter mixture
  3. Swirl with knife
  4. Bake 30-35 minutes
