Ingredients
Base Layer
2cupsmini pretzel twists- Enough to cover baking sheet
1cupunsalted butter
1cupbrown sugar, packed- light brown
2tablespoonheavy cream
½teaspoonvanilla extract
Chocolate Topping
2cupssemi-sweet chocolate chips
1cupdark chocolate chips
Finishing
Flaky sea salt- Sprinkle on top
Crushed pretzels- Optional
Instructions
Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment or a silicone mat. Arrange pretzels in a single even layer, breaking some to fill gaps.
Melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add brown sugar and heavy cream, stirring until combined. Bring to a full rolling boil and cook exactly 3 minutes without stirring. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.
Immediately pour the hot caramel over the pretzels and spread quickly with an offset spatula.
Bake at 400°F (205°C) for 5 minutes until bubbling. Remove from oven, sprinkle chocolate chips on top, and let sit 3–4 minutes until melted. Spread into an even layer.
Sprinkle flaky sea salt and any extra toppings (crushed pretzels, toffee, sprinkles, etc.).
Let cool 30 minutes at room temperature, then chill at least 1 hour until firm. Break into pieces for serving or gifting.
