- 2 sheets frozen puff pastry thawed
- 2 cups fresh strawberries sliced
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg for egg wash
- 1 tablespoon water
- 2 tablespoons coarse sugar for sprinkling
the Cream Filling:
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- ¼ cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 8 oz cream cheese softened
the Glaze:
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2-3 tablespoons milk
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Make cream filling:
Beat cream cheese until smooth
Whip heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla
Fold whipped cream into cream cheese
Refrigerate
Cut each pastry sheet into 9 squares (3x3 inches).
Make egg wash with egg and water.
Assemble pastries:
Brush edges with egg wash
Add cream filling in center
Top with strawberries
Fold opposite corners to center
Brush tops with egg wash
Sprinkle with coarse sugar
Bake 18-22 minutes until golden brown.
Cool 10 minutes before glazing.
