I'm Emily!

Welcome to Bake & Savor - your go-to kitchen for desserts that actually work. Whether you are reaching for a tried-and-true family classic or ready to try something new and a little indulgent, this is where home bakers come to get it right, feel confident, and have a whole lot of fun doing it.

Our Story

I am Emily, and I have been baking since I was tall enough to reach the counter. What began as sneaking spoonfuls of my grandmother's cookie dough and watching my mom pull golden cakes from the oven grew into something I could not ignore: a deep, buttery obsession with making people happy through food.

I started this site because I kept hearing the same thing from friends and family - "I would love to bake, but it feels too complicated." That broke my heart a little. Because baking is not complicated. It just needs to be taught the right way. So that is exactly what I set out to do.

Everything you find here is made in a real home kitchen, tested with ingredients you can grab at any supermarket, and written in plain language that actually makes sense. No intimidating chef jargon, no equipment you will never use again. Just reliable, delicious results.

I am completely self-taught, which means I learned by doing, by failing, by Googling things at midnight, and by eating a lot of imperfect cookies along the way. Every technique I share, I learned through real trial and error in a real kitchen. That experience is exactly why I know where beginners get stuck - and how to help them get unstuck.

You do not need a pastry degree to bake something wonderful. You just need clear guidance and a willingness to try.
